The Anderson-Crane
Company was founded over 50 years ago by two
men who
shared basic beliefs about what customers wanted
from an industrial distributor. Partners Guy Anderson
and R.W. Crane believed that there was a need for a
local distributor who possessed technical expertise to
represent the finest brands of products from large
stocks close to their point of use. They further
believed that ordering should be easy and enjoyable -
like dealing with a good friend. These basic principles
have shaped our company and guided our growth since July
1, 1944.
Since the original expertise of our
founders included heavy duty rubber conveyor and power
transmission belting as well as mechanical rubber
gasket, packing and seal fabrication, the name they
chose was the Anderson-Crane
Rubber
Company, Inc. Confident in their mission,
they began business in downtown Minneapolis and soon
began traveling and serving the entire state of
Minnesota. Their formula has proven successful - many of
our original customers continue to choose Anderson-Crane.
This successful continuity extends to our suppliers as
well. Brands pioneered include U.S. Electrical Motors,
Thermoid Belting & Hose, Flexco Steel Lacing,
MacWhyte Wire Rope, and Dodge. When you call
Anderson-Crane, you will find new products from these
same manufacturers available from stock.
Anderson-Crane
is now led by the second and third generations of one of
our founding families. Our original core values of
quality products and service remain solid and have been
strengthened by our commitment to continuous
improvement, investment in service-enhancing
technologies, and the integration of six product
families.
Today Anderson-Crane is a total solution
supplier of Bearings, Mechanical Power Transmission
Equipment, Electric Motors and Controls, Conveyor
Systems and Components, Belting, Hose and Rubber
Products, and Plant Maintenance Supplies.
...and we're
still the good guys.
